GCHS, along with the Superior-Greenstone District School Board and other school boards across Ontario, recognizes November 7-11 as Treaties Recognition Week. This week serves to educate Ontario residents about treaties and treaty rights. Geraldton Composite High School is on traditional Anishnabek territory.
Many of our GCHS students come from Indigenous communities that are part of the two treaties within our area: Treaty 9 and the Robinson-Superior Treaty. Check out the presentations on these two treaties for more information:
