It is so nice to see everyone back in Geraldton Composite High School for another school year. We are happy to welcome some new faces to our staff.
Mr. Gerald Arsenault joins GCHS as the woodworking teacher while Mr. Leclair is on a leave. Mr. Arsenault hails from Scarborough, Ontario, though he has spent a few years teaching in fly-in First Nation communities in northern Ontario.
Mr. Jay Johnson will be teaching the Grade 9 Academic Geography this semester as well as covering for other student achievement programs. Mr. Johnson has been a familiar face for many Greenstone students and we are excited to have him on our staff.
Ms. Jennifer Miller returns to GCHS this semester to cover Grade 10 Applied History, Grade 11/12 Workplace English and Grade 12 Literacy for Mrs. Cloutier, who is on a leave until December. Ms. Miller is excited to return to the school.
The GCHS Student Services office is assisting students who require timetable changes and then the final draft of the timetable will be posted on the site. Otherwise, all of our students seem to be having a great return to school and today, the grade 9s who were struggling with their lockers seem to have mastered the art of opening them.
