A number of post-secondary planning sessions for students planning to go to college or university are coming up in the near future. Typically, these sessions are open to students in Grades 11 and 12. Listen to announcements for details as some presentations require students to sign up in advance! Here’s a schedule to add to your calendars:
September 16 at 1PM: Laurentian University in Sudbury will be in the GCHS Library to provide information to Grade 11 & 12 students about the programs and services available at the school and answer any student questions.
September 28 at 2PM: College Information Session in the cafeteria. This is an important session for any student considering attending college.
September 29 at 9am-11am: Aboriginal Post-Secondary Program will invite students of Aboriginal ancestry to the cafeteria to learn about programs and services available to students who plan to attend either college or university after high school.
October 6 at 9am-10am: Sault College from Sault Ste. Marie will be in the GCHS Library to provide information for current and future potential grads. See Student Services for more information!
October 8 at 9:30am-10:30am at Nipigon-Red Rock District High School. If you’re considering university and are either in grade 11 or a potential grad, join us for a trip to Red Rock for a University Information Session. This session will provide important information and answer questions students might have about options after high school.
October 13 at 12:45pm: Lakehead University in Thunder Bay and Orillia will be in the GCHS Library to meet Grade 11 and 12 students to share information about programs and services at their campuses and answer questions.
