Hello, everyone! Hopefully your Victoria Day long weekend was relaxing and you are ready to confront the last month of school. Here are a couple of reminders and announcements:
FRIDAY, MAY 23
Progress Report #2 will be distributed to students. These reports vary from class-to-class but provide information about a student’s overall progress. Students who are at-risk, (below 55%) should be meeting with their teacher to discuss success strategies.
TUESDAY, MAY 27 & WEDNESDAY MAY 28
Track and Field athletes will be in Thunder Bay competing with students from across the region at the Legion Track. If you are in the city, stop in and check out the events! For more information, contact Mr. MacIver.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 4
A group of science students will be traveling to Thunder Bay to see Chris Hadfield speak as well as visit the David Thompson Astronomical Observatory. Please see Mr. Griffin for additional information.
FRIDAY, JUNE 6
It’s PROM NIGHT at GCHS! Students are invited to celebrate from 8pm-11pm in the gymnasium. LIVE music will be provided by Mr. Haslam and his rockin’ hand. Regular dance rules apply. See Mr. Griffin for more information.
FRIDAY, JUNE 13
Tonight is CONVOCATION/GRAD NIGHT. Graduates are required to be at the school no later than 6:30PM. The ceremony begins at 7pm and is followed by refreshments served in the gym. See Mr. Wilson or Mrs. Humphreys for more information.
